Heather A. Bub is a senior associate at SmithAmundsen LLC, in St. Louis, Missouri, where she focuses her practice on products liability, premises liability, commercial litigation, and general litigation defense.  Over the course of her career, Heather has second-chaired a number of trials, and has successfully used dispositive motions to dispose of numerous federal and state court cases.

Although Heather was previously active with DRI, she officially became a member of both DRI and the Women in the Law Committee in early 2014. As part of her work with WITL’s networking subcommittee, Heather recently hosted a wildly successful Greater St. Louis networking happy hour at Bar Napoli – prior to the event, she was able to secure support from several sponsors, which made the event free for all attendees!

Heather received an AV Preeminent Peer Review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and was recently recognized as one of Missouri’s Up & Coming Lawyers for 2014.  Heather presently serves as President-Elect of the Board of Directors for the Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis, and will serve as the organization’s President in 2015-2016.

After graduating UCLA School of Law in 2003, Heather began her career with Yukevich Cavanaugh in Los Angeles, California, where she primarily defended automobile and tire manufacturers.  Upon returning to St. Louis in 2005, she joined Sandberg, Phoenix & vonGontard, and was able to grow her products liability defense practice to include medical devices, sporting equipment, safety equipment, human tissue, and children’s products.  Heather then joined SmithAmundsen in 2010, shortly after the firm opened its St. Louis office.

In addition to her full-time law practice, Heather provides pro bono legal services through the Volunteer Lawyers Program for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, volunteers her time with Habitat for Humanity, and co-coaches McCluer North High School’s mock trial team.  Heather also enjoys volunteering at her children’s school and school board.
