The Expo is a unique opportunity for corporations to affirm their commitment to promoting diversity in the workforce by interviewing minority and women attorneys for potential representation of their company’s legal needs.
Diversity is a core value at DRI. Indeed, diversity is fundamental to the success of the organization, and we seek out and embrace the innumerable benefits and contributions that the perspectives, backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences a diverse membership provides. DRI believes that ensuring diverse representation in the legal profession will be the key to success for many of our members.
The 2017 Expo will mark the 12th anniversary of the Expo. Over the years over 100 companies and 700 law firms have joined forces to create a network to support, encourage and advance minority and women attorneys. DRI will hold the next Diversity for Success Seminar on Friday, June 16, 2017, at the Swissôtel in Chicago. Each corporation that participates in the Expo is entitled to send two representatives from their company to attend the entire seminar free. Yes free!!

About the Expo
As a tribute to its commitment to diversity, DRI is inviting corporations who share this commitment to participate in its Diversity Expo and interview potential minority and women attorneys and their law firms at the seminar. The Diversity Expo will take place on Friday, June 16, 2017, following a day of programming specifically for diverse lawyers and law firm leaders.
- DRI's Diversity Expo is the only national expo where corporate counsel can meet and interview the most diverse group of outside counsel who are dedicated solely to the defense of corporations and insurers.
- The Expo provides an opportunity to develop new relationships with diverse counsel in a wide variety of practice areas from jurisdictions around the country.
- Corporations who participate in the Expo and interview potential outside counsel will receive two complimentary seminar registrations.
- We will advertise your company logo in our seminar brochure if you email us your logo in Adobe Illustrator Vector format saved as an EPS or PDF file as soon as possible.
- Seminar programming provides the opportunity to network with other in-house counsel and firm leaders committed to diversity.
- Corporations will make their interview selections in advance based on legal specialty and the geographic needs of their corporation. You can select up to ten registrants (law firms). Each corporation may be asked, if necessary, to interview two additional attendees selected by DRI to ensure that every attendee has an interview. Corporations will receive information about Expo registrants including: name of firm, partners selected to interview, areas of expertise/practice and their representative clients.
